Trade Deficit

"Jack of all trades, master of none" has found fertile ground in my mind for much of my life. I have a Jack's level of modesty, curiosity, and means. Jack's beat ordinary numerals and sometimes even aces. But in all their conquests of competency, seldom, if ever, do they take the bridge between ontology and, well, ontology. Maybe this is just the life of the Jack; the life of foolishly blowing a new horn, while having the means to conduct a symphony by virtue of one's own existence.

This is how I came to begin thinking about my trade deficit. My trade deficit is quite simple. I export more time to my trades than they return to me in time savings. Trade (baking, welding, growing) deficits are not bad as long as they are not allowed to persist. That said, as always is the case, there is great difficulty in getting my trades to pay up. In fact I don't think I would be alone in saying that you go through the first six stages of grief when dealing with your trades. But in terms of traversing the final stage of grief, acceptance and hope, it is important to establish your flag and make your trades accept that they will be contributing to your cause and that they should hope to become a part of the solution.

This I believe is King thinking, a methodology I can only imagine to be real and can only describe as those qualities of getting it done that I don't possess.

Now back to that Jack idea... or was it ontology?
